All joking aside Erama: Rise From The Ashes is a New LARP based out of Winnipeg. We started in 2008. Our game has in depth storyline, rich history, magic, political intrigue, and tons of Action. Whether you want to play a Troll barbarian, elven archer/musician, or a crafty goblin, Erama: Rise From The Ashes is the game for you! Unlike D&D or similar games, our rules do not have classes. You get to custom create your character by choosing skills and advantages based on a point system. Unlike many other LARPs like Nero, our rule system is very streamlined that allows for organized game play without hindering Role-playing with a cumbersome rule system.

We use weapons called boffers. Boffers are made carved foam on a PVC or Fiberglass core, They are then wrapped in duct tape or latex coated. We have many people in our group that would be willing to help you making a costume, armour, or weapon.

We put alot of time into our props and NPC characters. For weekend games, three meals are included a day with unlimited refreshments available from the inn (all costs are included in the game fees). Our Game site is set up on 13 acres of forest, with Hard buildings including a huge tavern and the occasional soft building too. The land is still being modified and improved to make an even better gaming environment but as it stands it is a phenomenal place to play.

Game fees are as follows:
$15.00 for a membership
$20.00 for a weekend event (members)
$25.00 For a weekend evnet (Non-members)
$5.00 for a day game

Guys, if you've never tried a full contact LARP I urge you to put together a costume and try it. Honestly, there is nothing more exhilirating than creeping through the dark woods trying to rescue your friends while the bad guys are torturing them for info. (yes this happened our first game. Very creepy and cool, there wasn't even a moon out we had to navigate by starlight and if you think that's easy, try it sometime...)
