D&D Encounters
Get your game on each Wednesday with D&D Encounters, an ongoing mini-campaign where you’ll play one encounter each week at Imagine Games and Hobbies. Earn exclusive rewards as you gain Renown Points for accomplishments made during each season!
What is D&D Encounters?
D&D Encounters is an in-store weekly mini-campaign played out one encounter per session, with sessions every Wednesday run by veteran DM Rick Neal. Each week, you gain Renown Points for accomplishments made both in-game and out-of-game. Points earn you exclusive rewards that you can apply to your current and future D&D Encounters characters.
D&D Encounters seasons rotate every few months, giving you the opportunity to try new adventure settings multiple times per year!
What Do I Need to Play?
Each D&D Encounters season is a new mini-campaign experience. You can jump in anytime. Pre-generated characters are always available for play, or you can create and bring your own 1st-level character. Spots are limited, so if you want to reserve a space for you, contact [email protected], or leave your name at the store.
What Kind of Rewards Do I Earn?
Players earn exclusive D&D Encounters cards that provide your character with in-game benefits that can be applied to your current season’s character and future seasons’ characters.

As a special bonus this season, characters created are compatible with Living Forgotten Realms! Character creation rules for this season will be available by March 10 on the Official D&D Group. We’ll also try and schedule a character creation and info session or two before the season starts.

Show Them Real Adventure!: Dungeon Master’s Guide 2
Posted by The Editor
September 19, 2009 |
1:00 pm | to | 6:00 pm |
Show Them Real Adventure!
Bring your friends and join in the fun as we celebrate the release of Dungeon Master’s Guide 2, packed with new options for your Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition game.
In the spirit of Dungeon Mastering, we’re giving you the opportunity to create and show off your very own adventure! Work as a team to build encounters using the materials provided. After your team has finished, play another team’s adventure or DM the one your team created. We provide you with everything you need — maps, miniatures, monster stats, and how-to instructions. Just bring your imagination, a pencil or pen, and some dice!
Just for playing, you’ll take home the pregenerated character sheet and a miniature of the character you played. If you DM the game, you’ll take home a poster map of the encounter areas and a pack of monster miniatures used in the adventure.
This is a very special activity that has never before been a part of Worldwide D&D Game Day! But don’t worry if you just want to play; you can participate in as much or as little of the adventure-building activity as you want. Nothing, however, beats the satisfaction of hearing another team howl in terror as they fight the foes and traps you placed for them!
A Passage Into Mystery is a special team-created 6th-level adventure that uses tiles from DU3 Caves of Carnage and monsters from the Monster Manual: Legendary Evils miniatures expansion. Come out on September 19 and be a part of the adventure!
The adventure building portion starts at 1:00, with an eye to getting to the playing of the adventure around 3:00.

Worldwide D&D Game Day: Monster Manual 2
Posted by The Editor
May 23, 2009 |
12:30 pm | to | 3:30 pm |
On May 23rd, get ready once again to join D&D fans around the world for Worldwide D&D Game Day: Monster Manual 2. Mark your calendars and tell your friends—WWDDGD: MM2 is coming!
Fearsome Foes Both Old and New!
Bring your friends and join in the fun as we celebrate the release of the Monster Manual 2, packed with new options for your Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition game.
Come and face down enemies (both brand new and some old returning favorites) jumping right off the pages of the next big monster expansion for the game. While you’re at it, beat those vile beasts down with characters using options from upcoming releases. No matter if you’re new to the game or a 4th Edition veteran, we’ll have everything you need to embark on an all-new adventure!
Journey Through the Silver Caves – A kobold wyrmpriest has stolen an ancient book of prophecy from the people of Albura, a fortress on the borderlands. The kobold has a dark plan for the book – and only you can stop him in time! An adventure for 5 pregenerated 5th-level characters.
Uthal: Goliath Barbarian
Althaea: Eladrin Wizard
Arjhana: Dragonborn Rogue
Chance: Tiefling Warlord
Eomer: Dwarf Paladin
Special Note: Due to… stuff, we’re not sure if the support package from Wizards of the Coast is going to make it to us in time. This means that the adventure for the day may not be the official one, but instead an original adventure featuring new monsters from the MM2. There will still be fun, free stuff, and much rolling of dice.
First session begins at 12:30, with a second session at 3:30 if there are enough participants.
